How to get there.

The regional SATA-air makes daily flights to this island, normally from the airports of Ponta Delgada and Lajes located in Terceira. The estimated flight time is 40 minutes from this island and 60 minutes from Sao Miguel.

It also can be used the maritime transportation, on the regular lines that depart from the islands of Faial (15 minutes) and Sao Jorge (30 minutes). In these cases, the estimated time of journey depends on the ferry that is used.

Ones in the island, renting a car, using the service of taxi or travel in the public transportation can be used. It is able to park in Madalena (in the Machado Serpa Avenue); in las Lajes (in front to the Museum of dos Baleríos) an in San Roque ( in front of the old door).
