Historical Cities
Besides its great natural beauty, The Azores rely on magic cities and villages to visit, characterized by its rich military, religious and colonial architecture: Santa Cruz da Graciosa with its ancient streets and lordly houses; Horta with its famous sports port and its São Salvador's Church of the XVIIth century; Nossa Senhora do Carmo and São Francisco, with its nice blue rollers and its heights in wood and golden bread, without gorgeting the wonderful Angra do Heroismo, a city classified UNESCO World Patrimony.
In all the islands, its small villages are overturned completely to the sea and the land, and rely on beautiful viewing-points, which the access is by foot or in bicycle, from where you can contemplate the ocean.
