Golf Club Terceira

With 18 holes and a couple 72, the Club of Isla Terceira's Golf presents a good tracing, in a zone of great natural beauty. It was inaugurated in 1954, and is situated to 13 kilometres of the city of Angra do Heroismo and to 10 kilometres of Praia da Vitória. 350 meters over sea level, the Field is in a rural zone, presenting soft declivities between trees of great size, six artificial lakes and some ravines. The multiple flowers, especially azaleas and hydrangeas, contribute great beauty and color in a landscape typically of the Azores.

The hole 18, of par 3, is considered to be the most difficult due to its green, very sloping and protected for a lake. Nevertheless the golfers, with independence of its level, already will have surrendered to a series of different tests as that of the hole 10 a par 4 that crosses a little mountian and it has the water just in front. And that of 17, one long par 5, where again the water makes it difficult the play. TheTerceira´s Island Golf Club has driving-range, storage, putting-green, snack-bar, proshop and tennis courts.
